  My wife and I went today for lunch and had a lovely meal.
  
  The pub had a refurb in 2015 and when it reopened the food was great but they lost the chef and the food went down hill to the point. Since then its changed a couple of times but the food was well below average.
  
  The food today was excellent and brilliant value for money, It has a new chef and landlord who have raised the stakes. We had a roast beef lunch which was really tasty and the meat melted in the mouth. The portion sizes were great too.
  
  The village has been waiting for somewhere like this and I can't compliment the chef and staff enough. The chef came out and asked if all was ok giving that personal touch.
  
  As much of the food as possible is homemade, and by that I mean made from scratch and is really tasty.
  
  Would recommend highly for others to go and support the local pub.
